I'm going to be Mrs Mitch Mann!!!!! Mitch asked me to marry him on Saturday and I said Yes!

The Story:

Mitch called me on Thursday the 28th and said he had to cancel going to Thriller with me on me to go winterize the houseboat down in Powell on Saturday. I told him it was okay and I could just go with my friends. Then he said that he would be going down alone and that changed my mind. There was no way I was going to not go with him. 4 hours alone down and back to Powell would suck. So Saturday rolls around and he comes to get me (after my brother and sister in law put the thought in my head that maybe he would be asking me) As we are driving I am thinking he would ask, then he said something about getting married in June and all hopes for him to ask me were gone!!!!! We get to Lake Powell and he gets 2 boxes out of the trunk, one of which he said was something to change out the "Flux capacitor" and yes I believed him thinking "I've heard that before must be a houseboat thing" So we start the walk to the houseboat and I of course after that long in a car need to use the bathroom. We get to the houseboat and he said the water was drained and I would have to walk back up to the little store thing and use it there. So I left and was gone about 10 minutes and came back, the door was locked....I walk around and check the back door, locked as well. I went back to the front door and it was open so I open the door and there Mitch was holding a dozen roses, 40 candles lit, 5 more dozen roses on the couch and he had changed into a suit!!!!!! He told me how much he loved me and that he wanted to make me dinner for me but we would start with dessert, got on one knee and pulled out a Ring Pop, asked me to marry him, I obviously said YES!!!! Then he told me my ring wasn't going to be done till the end of next week but he couldn't wait for a few reasons: 1 Saturday the 30th was exactly 1 year from the first day we ever met. 2, the house boat was getting some work done and it was going to be the last time he could porpose there this year and since our first date was in Lake Powell and he was there when I knew I loved him and the first time we talked about getting married was in lake powell (all 3 different trips, we are not that crazy!) he found it the exact right place to ask me! And he was right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After he asked me he made me dinner with all my favorite things to eat! He did everything PERFECT! I love him so much and can't wait to start our lives together!!!

Okay so if anyone is out there really reading this blog of mine you already know that I have not had a job for over 3 months now. And if you are wondering what that is like well let me tell you. Bitter sweet for the first I'd say about 3 weeks. Then just bitter, and now for the past 4 weeks it is just down right depressing. I mean don't get me wrong I find so much to do every day. I work out, look for jobs, and have actually done a lot of service and gone to the temple more than I would have if I had a job. Learned how to bake fun things and so so so many more things but still find myself in this funk that I can't seem to get out of! It is hard and it is honestly the little things that pull ya through. So this is my little thing about tonight that will be keeping me happy well for who knows how long... Went to the Real Soccer game (which was way fun and they won) but David Cook who I have LOVED ever since he stepped foot on Amerian Idol was preforming and well I touched him A LOT!!!! He came out and shook my hand and gazed looked me directly in the eyes!! After he came into the crowd and WE ALL got to touch him, hug him, rub him and feel his amazingly strong biceps. Take about star struck. All of us were FREAKING out! I love him and he is AWESOME live!!!! Thank you David Cook!!!!

So Angels & Airwaves have become one of my favorite bands ever and they do sing my favorite song EVER called Breathe but anyway, last night we went to the concert and it was very very very good. I just love people that have talent!! This is my favorite song but you can't really hear it cause people are singing and well my camera is the worst.

Julie and I had the place to ourselves today after church and had NOTHING to do. So we watched the golfers for a while (sometimes they are good lookin), got sick of that and went and made this cookies to try and take to our old lady neighbor but she wasn't home :( I'm just greatful that Julie was here with me today. Most days I am home alone all day not having a job and all and it is BORING!!!!!!

So I'm Stefanie Taylor and I am a Britney Spears fan I really am. I know she's had some set backs haha but I just like her for some reason. I guess its like when you see a car crash you just can't help to stare and hope that everyone is going to be okay ya know. So we went and supported her when she came to SLC and I'll be honest it was one of the most entertaining concerts I have ever been too. I'd go again I really would. This is my new little nephew Jaron Bruce Taylor. The little guy isn't even due till April 30th but got a little anxious I guess and came decided to come yesterday April 3rd at 11:30ish....he is very cute..(well as cute as a baby a couple of hours old can be anyway) He was 7lbs and 8oz I guess. I'm a little hazy on the details. I can't wait to see him though!!!

So last week I went to Disneyland for the first time in my life!!! It was very fun. I ate a HUGE cookie....

Rode Hollywood Tower of Terror like 10 times so this little man knew us and became our friend almost....

Tried to fill my water bottle cause it cost so much to buy a new one but it wouldn't fit under the stream of water....

Julie is offically an adult today!!! CRAZY! She used to be just my cute little sister that would come visit me and I thought would never seem grown up but lets face it she has things more together than I do. But I'm okay with it in the way that I have someone to look up to! I really do admire this girl and want to be more like her. So far everone in my ward thinks I'm younger than Julie (bless their hearts) so I guess since Julie is now 21 they must think I'm about 19. But Happy Birthday Julie I LOVE YOU!!!

Julie and Jenni and I went and saw this movie the other day. I thought it would be good but had no clue how much I would LOVE it. All 3 of us were crying our eyes out. It was sad but also so happy and it just made you leave with a happy feeling of hope but was seriously such a tear jerker!! I would say it is a MUST see! I didn't see one man in the whole theater but it was so good I bet they would like it too!

So the other night we had NOTHING to do so we went over to my friend Krista's house and rode her nephew and neice's 3 wheeler things. You just sit on them and turn the wheel and they go! They are amazing little things. The first night we just rode around the kitchen but the next night we went outside and rode them down the street, and that was so much fun!!! I didn't take pictures of that because we were on dates and that is weird to take pictures on a first date!! So sorry ya only get the pic's of the boring stuff! Sorry Jenni was in the there too but she was the picture taker!! We were just lucky they held up after a bunch of adults were riding them!

This is my cuttest little niece ever and she seems to think she is unbreakable but sadly enough she was proven wrong. She fell off her bike and broke both bones in her little arm! She hasn't been slowed down by it at all and is decorating her own cast with orange crayons!

So on Aug 1 my mom turned the big 50!! Julie and I went down that morning and surprised her and made her breakfast and just hung out with her all weekend. We took her and my grandma to Richfield to lunch and to get the 4th Twlight book and we stuck around Sunday to hear her give her lesson in R.S. She did GREAT!!! But anyway we forgot to take pictures all weekend except this one when she and I were in the car together, Oops!!! And she'd pretty much kill me if she knew I posted this but what do I do its the only one I have for the weekend!!

Well I am moving to Logan Utah, a town I never knew was even there till I drove through it to go to Bear Lake (one of the funnest little vacation's I've been on thanks again Jen Scott!!) and now I am moving there for school. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time cause I am going alone!! It is like the first time I moved away from home all over again, with no friends and no idea where things are in the town and stuff. I am going to miss my family here so so much and my friends and the comfort of being where I am comfortable, I will be able to visit Jody more now though!!! I think the worst part is going to be finding ANOTHER job, I HATE looking for a job!!!!!

Denali Alaska!!

Krista, Kevin, Brett and I got to go up to Denali for 3 days for a "group honeymoon" (from the looks we got from everyone and all our pictures look.) from work. It was the best ever cause we got to do more than $1500.00 worth of stuff for less than $200.00, there are blessings that come from working for the tourist industry. We got to stay in these fun little cabins for free and eat every meal for free. I'll start out with our rooms and then just show the rest of our vacation!! It was really what has made me enjoy Alaska!!!

This was one of the funnest things we did, I know it seems weird but it was. We got to hold puppies and then Jeff King has won the idiarod (spelling?) 4 years in a row. He showed us and told us how they train their dogs and how they choose what dogs to take out. How much it costs to feed all the dogs and how they choose the names for them. He also had someone come in in this snow outfit that they have to wear out there and it was so much you couldn't even see the person in it. He loves those dogs so much. They were so nice and seriously it is quit a sport what he does!!!

This was an old time dinner theater that they fed us and sang and danced. It was family style so we sat with people we didn't know and had to use all our dinner manners like please pass and thank you and all that good stuff. It was pretty fun. There was this lady that if you put a dollar up over someone's head and said here kitty kitty kitty she would come kiss them on the cheek or if it was a girl a boy would come kiss them. We got Krista and Kevin Kissed.....

We got to go riding ATV's for one of the things and Krista and I loved our tour guide Tony, he is from Bolgaria and we work with a lot of them on the train and they are honestly the nicest people I have ever in my life met! We got to wear these wonderful yellow outfits to stay dry cause it rains alot up here during the summer. Kev-o decided not to wear one and fell in the river. Krista's made her look like a midget and Brett's made him look like a #2 pencil, and mine made me huge so I'm not sure who got the better end of all of it us or Kevin.

We had to wear these awesome dry suits because the water is only 32 degrees so if one of us fell in we would have froze. Yesterday we went to Seward, I'm not sure where it is even. But it is near the ocean. We went out to look for whales, we didn't see one. But we did see sea lions, seals, porposes (those were to fast for pictures) and Amy it did smell wonderful out there!!!! The boat was seriously so bumpy out there and I wanted to get to the front to take pictures with my roommates so I was trying to walk up there and fell down and could not get back up cause of the way it was moving so I had to crawl over and it was in front of our whole group who on the way down there we stopped at a senic over look to take pic's and I jumped over the cement wall and just kept going when I got over the other side and when I finally got up everyone was watching. So 2 times in one day they got to see how clutsy I really am!!!!

So Krista and I rolled in to Anchorage on a Sunday night. We were so happy to finally be here and just couldn't wait to get out of the car. We found our hotel and well this is all that we found. Also there is a website for them called thisoldcrackhouse.com check it out, you will be able to see what we see happening around us on a daily basis. Its kinda exciting!!! Oh and don't worry we have cleaned the heck out of our house now and it is actually cute and we don't mind it. Oh there are 7 girls living in this one bedroom house!!!! I can only say that people live in alot less than this and are truely happy so I think I can hack it just fine for the next few months.

So it took us 4 long days to get here, but it was a beautiful drive and we had alot of fun!! The only delay we had was the one truck that rolled over and it only slowed us down for about 20 minutes. There were no places to get gas and food for miles sometimes so we would stop at the weirdest scariest places ever to get food but they without fail always ended up being so so so delicious!!

Well What I wanted to do was put a pic of my cute little mom on here and do a little tribute to her but this internet connection here in our humble place of residence that I will hopefully show to you soon, has really bad internet connection so I can't load pictures. But I just wanted to say that I love my mom. She is the best. I miss her so much and I wish I could have spent the day with her or even talked to her today for more than 5 minutes today. My mom is so funny, the best cook (she doesn't think so), a good listener (when she is awake) and would do anything in her power to make sure that all of her children are happy and cared for. I know she can't read this cause she doesn't have internet access but I love her and I hope more than ever I become more like her as the days go by. And since she can't read this I will admit that when I get back from Alaska I plan to live with them again....well for a few weeks anyway!!

So Krista and I started our journey to Alaska on Thursday and it has been so much fun. We just got to Dawson's Creek in British Columbia and I decided to post a little blog to let everyone know we're alive. I'd post fun pic's but my sleeve for my camera is out in the car and I'm not about to go out and get it because it is FRIGHTENING in this motel. But I do have to say that I'm not the biggest fan of Canada. The people are all SO SO nice but they don't have fountian drinks. Krista needs her Dt Mt Dew and I need my Dt Dr Pepper so we are planning our trip as fast as we can out of this country!!! Oh and the gas is OUTRAGOUS here! To fill her little 12 gallon tank took nearly $100 Bucks. So Canada isn't one of my favorite places that is for sure!!!!!

So I've heard that having a pet adds 7 years to your life. I somehow think that this little innocient looking cat of my roommates is taking 7 years OFF my life and my other 2 roommates. We see it coming and it attacks us, it runs full on into the walls and has also learned to jump from the couch to the curtins and to climb on the counter TONIGHT and if it finds a way to make a mess while we are gone I don't now what will become of the animal we all have come to hate!!!!

Yep its TRUE, I'm actually going. I know I have alot of CRAZY ideas and that is what they are just ideas but this time I am acutally following through with it. I got a job with Holland, a cruise line, and I am going to be a waitress on a train. It is part of the off shore things people can do on their cruise. But I guess it is a ton of RICH retired people that tip amazingly so by the end of the summer I am hoping to be rich--but if that falls through at least I'll have lived in another state and an AMAZINGLY beautiful one at that!!! My only sadness about going is that I have ALWAYS lived close enough to just see my family whenever I want to and I am having a very hard time with the fact that is not going to be possible. Jenni Taunie and I went over the weekend and hung out in St George and then in Vegas. Friday night we went and saw Vantage Point and it was SO SO SO good. I recomend it to all! There were also a group of people before us that hated it so I guess it depends on who you are but I would say it is one of the best I have ever seen. Then we Saturday we went to Vegas and poor Lyle was such a trooper cause he was with 3 girls that wanted to shop and very apeasing so we couldn't decide on ANYTHING. I did get to gamble at a table for the first time in my life and well I lost my twenty bucks in like I'd say 4 minutes or less. And I could see how it is addicting cause I felt like I HAD to win my money back (although I didn't try) so I can only imagine that if you were winning it would be even better!!! We went to eat at some buffett that was so super dang expensive so it sucks but it was good. I just wish I were more hungry. But I did eat shrimp, SICK!!!! But then we went to the Toby Keith Bar to do some good ol Country dancing! It was way fun. I did not get any pictures of me dancing because believe me nobody wants to see that other than all thoughs people that were drunk there that will not remember it in the morning.....

Today is the first big snow storm I've been in Utah County for. I know it snowed last weekend but I was gone. So this is the first one I have been in. It snowed about 3 inches in 1 hour and it is still going! I love it!!! 1. I have the HARDEST time making up my mind about anything. From breakfast to what I want to do with the rest of my life.

2. I've been in love one time and I'd have to say I really do recommend it for people. It was the best ever and actually the worst when it had to end. (there's more to that story but I'm not getting into the details.

3. I want to be a Speech Pathalogist I think...as of now that is. We'll see what happens when it actaully comes time to choose. But I want to be able to help people. Specailly kids. I think it is fo fun to help someone.

4. I love frozen cookies. They are my weakness. I like them to be flat too, so they don't look appealing but they taste really good. My mom makes them the best I think.

5. I cry alot. Not because I am depressed or a freak or anything but just when something is touching or sad or even really happy that is what I do. I can't help it. Julie tells me it is a talent, I think just to make me feel better about it cause it embarasses me.

6. I would LOVE to go to Europe. I really want to go. I was planning to go in March but then I got put on Jury Duty in SLC until the end of April and from what I understand is that I can't leave the state now. If I would have bought the tickets two weeks before I would have been able to go as planned! But I guess I'll have to wait now.

We went to St George to help Jenni's sisters with their kids for a little bit of the week. So that Saturday we went to Misquite to go play Bingo. It was way fun even though we lost and everything but it was totally worth it. I wanted to go to the big tables but it made me way to nervous cause Jenni and I had a run in in Vegas trying to gamble just the slots and it was embarassing cause 2 guys had to help us and then a worker came over too. So instead of making idoits of ourselves again we just did the bingo and called it good!! But I totally recommend playing bingo it was fun!!

For spring break this year we (Jenni, Taunie, Michelle, Pam) went to St. George and spent the better part of the week at Taunie's parents condo.
